Summer Reading

Our Summer Reading, a Universe of Stories, is broken up into two age groups (beginning readers and independent readers). Both programs run for 6 weeks, starting July 1st and ending August 9th. August 9th will be the last day to turn in or log your reading and collect your prizes.

Beginning Astronauts Club

This program is for readers who are not yet reading on their own (ages 3+). Stop by the library to register and collect your first reading log. Read 10 picture books a week with your child and return your log for a new one and a weekly prize! Finish all 6 weeks (read 60 books together) and your young astronaut will receive a certificate and a special prize! Registration for this program begins June 17th

Reading Rockets Club

This program is for independent readers in grades K through 6. Registration begins on June 17th. You may begin logging your reading on July 1st. You need one valid library card per child to register online. If you don’t have a library card, stop by the library and we’ll get you signed up! If you don’t have internet access to log your reading, please stop by the library or give the children’s department a call. We’re happy to log your minutes for you.
