Museum passes allow a specified number of people to visit a museum or attraction for a reduced rate or free admission. All admission stipulations are determined by the individual museum or attraction.
Making a Reservation
Passes can be reserved using an adult Scranton Memorial Library card either in person at the library, from home through the links on this page, or you may call the Library at 203-245-7365. Reservations can be made up to 30 days in advance. Non-Madison library card holders can check out museum passes if available. Come in and see what we have!
- When can I pick up my pass?
Your reserved pass should be available after 5:00 p.m. on the day before your reservation. For Saturday and Sunday reservations, the pass should be available after 3:00 p.m. on the day prior to the reserved date. During summer hours, Sunday passes can be picked up after 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. All efforts will be made to contact you if your reserved pass has not been returned on time by the previous user. However, the Library cannot take responsibility for passes that are returned late.
- Is there a limit to the number of passes I may borrow?
You can reserve up to five passes per month, up to 2 passes per week, one pass per family per day. If a reserved pass is not picked up or canceled, it will be considered a no-show and you will be unable to reserve another pass for 30 days. If a pass is lost, you will be charged the replacement cost set by the individual museum plus a $20.00 processing fee.
- When do I need to return a pass?
Return the pass by NOON on the day following your reservation. During summer hours, please return passes borrowed on Friday by 10:00 a.m. Saturday. The pass may be returned in the Book Return if the Library is closed. There is a $5.00 fee for passes returned past their due date.
- What if I need to cancel my pass reservation?
A reserved pass can be canceled from the Museum Passes page on our website, or by calling the library. If a reserved pass is not picked up or canceled, it will be considered a no-show and you will be unable to reserve another pass for the next 30 days.
