Library Technical Assistant 1 – Reference Department (Part-Time)
The E.C. Scranton Memorial Library in Madison, CT seeks a customer service oriented, collaborative and flexible individual to join our team. The successful candidate will have strong computer and technology skills; excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills; and the ability to provide excellent customer service to patrons of all ages. Hours: an average of 8 – 12 hours a week, primarily evenings and rotating Saturday shifts. Benefits & Compensation: $17.07 per hour. 13 paid holidays, plus paid time off on a prorated basis. Thank you for thinking of E.C. Scranton Memorial Library! Volunteers are a great support to our library staff and also to our community.
We welcome volunteers to help us:
- Shelve materials (fiction, non-fiction, media)
- Shelf read (making sure materials are in their proper places)
- Make home deliveries (deliver library materials to Madison residents who are unable to come to the library).

Friends of the Library:
