Eligible items will renew for the original loan period. For example, books renew for an additional 21 days and DVDs renew for an additional 7 days. Eligible items will be automatically renewed up to two times.

You will receive an e-mail letting you know if your item is automatically renewed or if it is ineligible for auto-renewal.

Items that are not eligible for renewal are items on hold for another patron, Best Sellers, new DVDs, and Children’s Nutmeg Books.

Please note that not all LION libraries have automatic renewals. An item borrowed from another LION library, even if you checked it out in Madison, may not be renewed automatically. Please check your e-mails carefully, so you know when your book is due.
