Take Out & Delivery

TAKE OUT: Holds may be placed online or by calling (203) 245-7365. Library users will be notified via e-mail when materials have arrived.

When you receive your notification e-mail please wait until the next business day and then stop by the library during our Take Out hours (see below). Your items will be waiting for you on a table just inside our new main entrance (enter through the single door on the right), conveniently packaged in a paper bag with your name on it. You will have 7 days to pick up your hold, if you need more time please contact our Circulation Department at (203) 245-7365.

PLEASE NOTE: We ask that you do not touch any bags other than your own. Please wear a mask and maintain social distancing during pick-up.

DELIVERY: Madison seniors are able to have library materials delivered to their homes by contacting the Madison Senior Center at (203) 245-5627 and requesting a volunteer pickup.

HOURS: Monday & Tuesday 10 am – 5 pm, Wednesday & Thursday 10 am – 8 pm, Friday 10 am – 5 pm, and Saturday 10 am – 1 pm.

RETURNS: All library materials may be returned to our drive-through book return located at the back of the building. NO RETURNS may be made to the pick-up tables. Returning items to the book return enables us to properly quarantine materials to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

In addition to these services, the library offers virtual programming, free downloadable books and movies, and phone assistance during all Take Out hours. Additionally, we are now offering Chromebooks for check out. Free WiFi is available in all of our garden, patio, and parking lot areas. Wireless printing services are also available. Just follow the instructions on our website, then call us at (203) 245-7365 to arrange for contactless pick-up.

We encourage everyone to sign up and receive Library news via e-mail for the most up-to-date information regarding Scranton Library Takeout & Delivery services and other Library news.
