Season of Giving: A Library Food Drive

Tuesday, November 2nd – Friday, December 17th @ the SML.

It’s the Season of Giving at Scranton Memorial Library from Tuesday, November 2 until Friday, December 17! This nearly two-month-long food drive is meant to benefit those in need in the Shoreline Area. We will be collaborating with the Shoreline Soup Kitchens & Pantries for this program.

To help those in need, patrons may bring donations of non-perishable food to the library as well as non-food items such as cleaning and hygiene supplies, health and beauty items, and other goods. (Non-food donations should be brand new; food donations should be well before their expiration dates.) We will also accept winter hats, gloves, scarves, etc. for those in need of winter clothing. We ask that patrons not donate any glass jars; all grocery items must be unopened. Patrons may make their donations anytime during our business hours and should take them to the cafĂ© area of the library’s entrance hall. There is no registration necessary to participate in this drive.

Thank you!
