Expanded hours and other updates

We’re excited to announce that the Library will be expanding open hours to include Tuesday evenings until 8pm and Saturday mornings from 9:30am – 1pm starting on July 6th. Full hours and information can be found here: https://www.scrantonlibrary.org/hours/

Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible by supporting our budget request. We are so grateful for the support and excited to expand both our hours and our services in the coming fiscal year.

Summer Reading is in full swing and our

All seating areas are open and we’re quickly becoming a favorite spot to “work from home.”

Our staff process hundreds of holds a day & created a record-breaking 80 new cards in May!
Coming soon:
– A new self-serve copy, scan, fax document station will be available next week.
– Free seeds through our new “Seed Library” coming soon!
– Room reservations for indoor spaces will be available starting Monday, July 26th. More information coming soon!
