Sculpture at the Scranton Library

You may have seen the beautiful new sculpture just added near the historical entrance to the Library on the Boston Post Road. ‘Cut-Flowers’ is the first of three planned library installations which are part of the larger renovation of the Hollycroft Exhibition in downtown Madison. The sculptor, Babette Bloch, is an internationally known CT based artist.

We feel very fortunate to be the beneficiary of this non-profit organization whose mission it is to “bring museum-level sculpture to the public, free of charge.”  Hollycroft installations can be viewed in Guilford, Madison, Clinton, New London, and Stonington i.e. “The Sculpture Shore.” More information and free exhibition guides can be found on the Hollycroft Foundation website.

Look for two more exciting sculpture installations in the weeks to come!
