TAKE OUT: Starting Monday, July 13th the Scranton Library will offer “take out” services for all library materials. Holds may be placed online or by calling (203) 245-7365. Library users will be notified by phone or e-mail when materials are ready to be collected via contact-less pick up at the library’s main/parking lot entrance.
Our parking lot can be accessed from either the Boston Post Rd (entrance only) or Wall Street. Please wear a mask and keep a safe distance from other library patrons. Each bag of library materials will be marked with a last name, first initial, and the date. Please do not touch any bag other than the one you are retrieving.
DELIVERY: Madison seniors will be able to have library materials delivered to their home by contacting the Madison Senior Center at (203) 245-5627 and requesting a volunteer pickup.
HOURS: Monday & Tuesday 10 am – 5 pm, Wednesday & Thursday 1 pm – 8 pm, Friday 10 am – 5 pm, and Saturday 10 am – 1 pm.
RETURNS: All library materials may now be returned to our drive-through book return located at the back of the building. NO RETURNS may be made to the pick-up tables. Returning items to the book return enables us to properly quarantine materials to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
In addition to these new library services, the library will continue to offer virtual programming, provide information services via e-mail and phone, and families can participate in Summer Reading activities online and at home.
We encourage everyone to sign up and receive Library news via e-mail for the most up to date information regarding Scranton Library Takeout & Delivery services and to receive notice of our next phase of re-opening.
