TAKE OUT: Holds may now be placed online or by calling (203) 245-7365. Library users will be notified via e-mail when materials have arrived.
When you receive your notification e-mail please wait until the next business day and then stop by the library during our Take Out hours (see below). Your items will be waiting for you on a table by our new main entrance, conveniently packaged in a paper bag with your name on it. You will have 7 days to pick up your hold, if you need more time please contact our Circulation Department at (203) 245-7365.
PLEASE NOTE: We ask that you do not touch any bags other than your own. Please wear a mask and maintain social distancing during pick up.
DELIVERY: Madison seniors are able to have library materials delivered to their home by contacting the Madison Senior Center at (203) 245-5627 and requesting a volunteer pickup.
HOURS: Monday & Tuesday 10 am – 5 pm, Wednesday & Thursday 1 pm – 8 pm, Friday 10 am – 5 pm, and Saturday 10 am – 1 pm.
RETURNS: All library materials may be returned to our drive-through book return located at the back of the building. NO RETURNS may be made to the pick-up tables. Returning items to the book return enables us to properly quarantine materials to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
In addition to these new library services, the library will continue to offer virtual programming, provide information services via e-mail and phone, and families can participate in Summer Reading activities online and at home.
We encourage everyone to sign up and receive Library news via e-mail for the most up to date information regarding Scranton Library Takeout & Delivery services and to receive notice of our next phase of re-opening.
