Connecticut Nutmeg Book Award: lists of ten books selected for being quality literature for young people. Students vote each year to pick their favorite. 7th & 8th grade list, high school list

Printz Award: annually honors the best book written for teens based entirely on literary merit. The 2014 winner is Midwinter Blood by Marcus Sedgwick. See the complete list of winners and honor books.

Teens Top Ten: a teens’ choice list where teens nominate and choose their favorite books from the previous year.

The Morris Award: honors a debut book published by a first-time author writing for teens and celebrating impressive new voices in young adult literature. The 2014 winner is Charm & Strange by Stephanie Kuehn.

Alex Awards: given to ten books written for adults that have special appeal to young adults, ages 12 through 18. The winning titles are selected from the previous year’s publishing.
