Meet Katie Fargo Scranton Library's NEW Teen Librarian

Katie comes to us from Guilford Free Library with four years experience as Teen and Information Services Librarian.
She plans to continue the Book Buddies program
and fun book clubs.

The Scranton Library Teen Section is looking
for some volunteer help!

Teen Volunteers shelve all the books, music and movies in the teen section, label items, help maintain inventory and many other projects! If you would like to volunteer, fill out the application and drop it off at the Teen Desk.

Reading Buddies


A reading enrichment program pairing teen mentors with younger readers!
The Fall session runs from
September 26-December 16, 2011.

Reading Buddies is a reading enrichment program that pairs kindergarten, first, second and third graders with teen volunteers. They meet once a week to read together, play literacy games, and do group activities.
