DONATIONS and ANNUAL APPEAL
Unrestricted donations are always needed to fund the 15% of the annual budget not supported by the Town. Unrestricted gifts allow the Library to put the resources where the need is greatest. The library provides a wide range of services for everyone in Madison, from babies to the oldest members of the community, and Madison residents are using the Library in record breaking numbers. The Library’s Annual Appeal provides materials that keep the Library at the center of the community’s intellectual life. Your generous annual contribution helps support books, online databases, DVDs, CDs, and audio books for children, teens and adults. Everyone from cradle to retirement and beyond enjoys borrowing books, movies or music form the Scranton Memorial Library. Our annual giving year runs from July 1 – June 30.
HONOR or MEMORIAL GIFTS
Celebrate a birthday, holiday, anniversary or other special occasion, honor a loved one, a special teacher or a co-worker, remember a friend or a relative who has passed away, with a gift that benefits the entire community. Many families designate the Library for gifts in memory of loved ones; a gift to the Scranton Memorial Library is a fitting tribute. For a gift of $35 or more, the Library will personalize a circulating library item in the subject area and/or format of the donor’s choice, if requested. The Library will provide acknowledgement of the gift to the honoree or the family of the deceased. All requests are subject to our Materials Selection Policy.
