The 2013 Nutmeg Award Winner is

Because of Mr. Terupt
by Rob Buyea

What is the Nutmeg Award?
The Nutmeg Award is a Connecticut Children's Book Award which is decided by the children of  Connecticut. Each year a panel of children's librarians, school library media specialists and teachers nominate 10 books for children in grades 4-6. They ask children in those grades to read the books and vote on their favorite title. The voting takes place in January and the winner is announced in February. The author of the winning book receives a special award. Only children in grades 4-6 can do the voting. It is your award to give to the author of your favorite book. So read, vote and join the fun.
